Our Production Process
According to Japanese law, the use of only mature stems and seeds of hemp is legal. Due to the lack of suitable production facilities in Japan, Kitchodo has developed over the course of two years, a production process that is fully compliant to Japanese regulations.
Hemp Harvesting & Drying
Steam Retention & Generation
Hemp plants are grown in a well-controlled environment. The stems are stripped off their branches and roots to dry for 7 days.
The dried hemp stalks are distilled and the oil is extracted. The extracted oil is repeatedly treated to become a high-purity cannabidiol oil.
Supercritical extraction is performed to completely remove unnecessary components such as THC. This makes the CBD 99% pure and this can be used in the Japanese market with stringent regulations for CBD.
We directly import materials from the United States and is then pen processed into products such as oil, cream, face masks at domestic factories affiliated with Kitchodo.
